New Tool: Distributed BGP Path Tester

Our new distributed BGP path tester runs a traceroute to your target from eight vantage points around the world — North America (East & West), the UK, Germany, Spain, France, and Singapore — all at once. Each hop is annotated with its Autonomous System and operator, so you can see exactly which networks your packets cross and where latency or routing changes appear.

Because it measures from multiple regions simultaneously, it surfaces routing differences a single-location looking glass would miss — useful for debugging reachability, spotting suballocation oddities, and understanding how a prefix is reached globally. Results render as an annotated hop table plus a 3D globe of the vantage→target paths, with a downloadable PDF report.

We run the probe network ourselves on dedicated nodes across several continents — the same fleet that powers our rDNS dataset.
