By accessing WorldIP.io, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Data accuracy

All data on WorldIP.io is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. IP geolocation, ownership, and ASN data are derived from third-party sources (MaxMind GeoLite2, RIR files) and may contain inaccuracies. Specifically:

• Geolocation is approximate — typically accurate to the city level, sometimes off by hundreds of miles.
• Organization names reflect the entity that received the IP allocation, not necessarily the current operator.
• Blocklist data reflects third-party lists and may contain false positives.

Prohibited uses

You may not use WorldIP.io data for:

• Identifying, tracking, or surveilling individuals
• Making security, access control, or fraud decisions based solely on IP geolocation
• Automated scraping or bulk data extraction beyond normal browser usage
• Any unlawful purpose

PTR / reverse DNS data

WorldIP.io provides PTR (reverse DNS) records as a convenience. PTR data is sourced from public DNS and may be incomplete, stale, or inaccurate. Free users receive 3 PTR searches per day. Programmatic access to PTR data requires an API subscription.

Intellectual property

The site design, code, and editorial content are the property of WorldIP.io. The underlying IP data is sourced from MaxMind GeoLite2 (licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0), public RIR delegation files, and public DNS PTR records.

Limitation of liability

WorldIP.io and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this site or its data. You use the site at your own risk.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
